What is the difference between neurotoxins and dermal filler?
Neurotoxins work by relaxing muscles that it is placed in. It has a fluid type of consistency and is administered via injection. This is a preventative treatment as it temporarily pauses lines and wrinkles caused by expressions from muscle movement.
Dermal fillers work by filling areas that lack volume and hydration. The product is a soft, gel-like substance administered via different types of injection methods, and is made primarily of hyaluronic acid (a naturally found component throughout the body). Because of its consistency and water loving nature, the product fills and hydrates in areas that it is placed in.

How Does It Work?
Product is administered via injection and takes 2 weeks for the product to show full effect in the area treated.
It works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to muscles (only to the areas treated.) The result being that the muscles can't contract as strongly for a period of time.
How Long Does It Last?
Results last about 3-4 months on average (minimum of 12 weeks.) Regular maintenance treatments are recommended for continual results.
What Happens If I Stop Having Treatments?
Gradual return of your regular/ baseline muscle movement will occur to the areas treated and expression lines and wrinkles will slowly reappear.
Are Wrinkle Relaxers Permanent?
No, results last 3-4 months (12 weeks minimum) on average. The product slowly breaks down toward the end of this time frame and is removed from the body lymphatically. There is no dissolving agent to remove the product, you will just have to wait for that average time frame for the product to go away on its own. For this reason we start by treating lightly and add at a follow up appointment as necessary for natural looking results.

What Is The Point Of A Touch Up/ Follow Up Appointment?
Touch up appointments are common and are recommended 2 weeks after the initial treatment; that is how long it takes the product to work completely. During a follow up, touch ups are helpful to add doses of product if areas might have been missed or treated too lightly.
Placement of product can't be exact every time although we try our best. Especially when it is your first few visits at our clinic, we treat lightly because we are still getting to know what works best with your concerns, and more product can be added as necessary at this appointment. This helps us have more control and prevent over treating at the initial visit and risking unwanted results.
Is There Any Down Time?
It is common to experience mild redness, swelling and bruising in areas treated. Total down time can be about 1 week.

What Is The Difference Between Sculptra Biostimulator and Hyaluronic Acid Filler?
Sculptra is made of PLLA (poly L-lactic acid) particles which become activated once administered via injection. This activity stimulates collagen to rebuild in multiple areas of the face providing natural results that take time to build but are also long lasting.
Traditional filler is composed of hyaluronic acid (HA) molecules and administered via injection. These molecules are water loving (hydrophilic) and can instantly plump, hydrate and re-volumize areas of the face.
What Kind Of Results Can I Expect?
Anti-aging focused results such as- increased collagen production, rebuilding of facial structure, softening lines and wrinkles, reducing hollowing/ gaunt appearance and natural looking re-volumization in multiple areas of the face. Beautiful results can be obtained from sculptra treatments alone but often still require HA filler and wrinkle relaxers to complete aesthetic goals.
